ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is searching for suspects in a Pizza Hut delivery driver robbery and for a suspect wanted in connection to more than 20 entering auto cases in Albany, according to APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks.

Reports indicate that around 10:35 p.m. on Sunday, Pizza Hut delivery driver Dontavious Williams, 23, arrived at a residence on Bush Street and was robbed at gunpoint.

“Williams stated that he was delivering pizza to 410 Bush Street and as he walked up to the front door, someone in the house gave him instructions to go to the side door,” Banks said in the APD press release. “He stated that as he began to walk to the side door, he was met by a (black male) wearing a ski mask and holding a handgun. He stated that the subject told him to put the pizza down then empty his pockets and he did. He stated a second subject wearing a mask came from the inside, and both men took his property, told him to leave and they walked away.”

According to Banks, no injuries were reported, no suspects are in custody and the items taken included a cellphone, an undisclosed amount of cash, two medium pizzas, one pizza warmer and one large chocolate chip cookie. The food was valued at $23.51, Banks said.

“This case remains under investigation,” the she said.

APD detectives are also searching for a suspect in connection to more than 20 entering auto cases.

“Warrants (have been issued) against 21-year old Kamoney Rashard Edwards,” Banks said in the APD news release. “Detectives say the cases occurred in the Albany area during the month of September. Edwards is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 150 pounds. If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Edwards, they can call Crime Stoppers or the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau.”
