ALBANY — Albany police have released video footage from an Albany store of a woman who is suspected to using credit cards stolen from Columbus.

Albany Police Department spokeswoman Phyllis Banks said in an email Monday that Marie Cook contacted the APD after her wallet was stolen on May 14 from 4179 Macon Road in Columbus.

Cook told Albany police that one of the cards was used at Target in Albany for the amount of $89.22, and a second was used for two transactions in Albany that same day — $214.43 at Dillard’s and an amount not listed in the email at Sears, according to Banks. She said the Cook told Albany police that none of the transactions were authorized by her.

The video taken at Target shows a woman checking out. Her face is obscured in the video, but Banks said it shows the woman wearing a pink shirt with the words “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” written on it and wearing black leggings. “The female also has her hair pulled back into a pony tail and appears to be wearing eye glasses in one of the frames,” Banks said.

The video can be seen at www.abanyherald.com.
