Reward of $1,000 offered for information on murder of 36-year-old woman

TIFTON — Officials with the Tifton Police Department said Monday that a reward is being offered for information in a murder investigation.
The city of Tifton is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Feb. 25 murder of Verlethe Evette Brown.
Just after 3 a.m. Feb. 25, Tifton police responded to a call at South College Mobile Home Park and found that Brown, 36, had been shot multiple times. She was taken to a hospital, then airlifted to a hospital in Macon where she died, police said.
Tifton police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have been able to develop few leads so far, police officials said.
