Jimmy Carter to teach Sunday School in Plains

CARTER SCHEDULE

Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia Highway 45 N., Plains. The lesson begins at 10 a.m., but the sanctuary opens at 8:30 a.m. An orientation for visitors is planned at 9 a.m.

EVENTS

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Lumpkin will sponsor a Mardi Gras Family Affair at 6 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature games, prizes and fun. Contact (229) 838-4355.

Greater Fellowship Christian Ministries church family and pastor Thomas Rivers in Leesburg will celebrate the fourth church and pastor celebration at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

New Covenant Faith Christians International Ministries will host Apostle C.T. Davis of Macon on Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. each date.

Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries, 1506 S. Slappey Blvd., will host the 2016 Family Empowerment Conference on April 6-8. Breakout sessions and general sessions are planned for children, teens, singles, married couples and Golden Agers. The conference begins each night at 7 and registration is free.
