SBA business recovery centers becoming loan outreach centers
Remaining U.S. Small Business Administration centers will close on Dec. 20
From Staff Reports
ALBANY — The U.S. Small Business Administration is transitioning its Dougherty and Decatur County business recovery centers into disaster loan outreach centers next week.
The SBA has permanently closed its Crisp and Terrell County locations.
A news release from the agency said the transition change is intended to encourage all disaster survivors to continue meeting with customer service representatives in person, obtain program information, receive help in submitting a SBA disaster loan application as well as assistance for survivors with the SBA’s appeal process for declined applications.
In Dougherty, the Small Business Development Center at 125 Pine Ave., Suite 142, in Albany is where people need to go between 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will transition to a disaster loan outreach center today before it closes permanently at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
In Decatur, individuals need to go to the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, at 100 Boat Basin Circle in Bainbridge from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will become a disaster loan outreach center today until it closes for good at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 15.
