Organization hands out $500 grants to college students

ALBANY — The Scottish Rite of Albany handed out several $500 scholarships to area college students during a recent organization meeting.
Among the students who received the scholarships were Ashley Hughes, Dallas Ashford, Landon Park, Bailey Atkins and Morgan Dunne. Funding for the scholarships came from the organization’s Rite Care program.
Among the Scottish Rite members who handed out the awards to the students were Gene Jernigan and David Powell.
