Serving Up Meals tennis tourney scheduled
Deadline to register for Meals on Wheels event Monday

ALBANY — Registration is ongoing for the third annual “Serving Up Meals” tennis tournament, which will be held at Doublegate Country Club Friday through Sunday.
All proceeds from the event, taking place from April 15-17, will benefit the Meals on Wheels program based at the SOWEGA Council on Aging. The program delivers over 186,000 meals per year to homebound seniors in Southwest Georgia.
The event will include a Margaritas and Munchies player party on Friday night, lunch on Saturday, champion awards and other festivities. Entry fee for the event is $40 and players may play in either gender doubles and/or mixed doubles. All play levels are welcome to register.
In past years, players from all over south Georgia played for the cause. Teams from Albany, Valdosta, Tallahassee, Bainbridge and surrounding areas are expected again this year.
Registration ends on Monday. Doublegate Country Club is located at 3800 Old Dawson Road.
