ALBANY — A recent credentials report from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital indicates there have been a number of staff-related changes at the hospital in recent weeks with a few more coming, including several healthcare providers looking to be onboarded.

The hospital’s most recent Professional Affairs Committee credentials report shows that radiologist Dr. Peerapod Chiowanich is looking to be granted privileges as a telemedicine physician, the semi-retired Dr. Phillip Roberts is looking to be a consulting staff member for hematology and oncology, Dr. Brian Russell is coming into Phoebe Neurosurgery on a locum tenens basis, pediatric cardiologist Dr. Pushpa Shivaram from Augusta University is joining the consulting staff while pediatrician Dr. Fabio Villegas is looking to join Albany Area Primary Health Care.

The incoming affiliate staff applicants, also known as advanced practice providers, include:

— Katrina Hamilton, nurse practitioner under the sponsorship of Dr. Chad Kishore;

— Ana Rodriguez-Barcenas, dental assistant under the sponsorship of Dr. Kenneth Sellers;

— Ismerai Chavez, dental assistant under the sponsorship for Sellers;

— Caine Bickerstaff, medical assistant under the sponsorship of Dr. Tony Davis;

— Sara Newton, nurse practitioner under the sponsorship of Dr. Priyank Shah;

— Dezmond Hollings, nurse practitioner under the sponsorship of Dr. Thomas Ungarino;

— Debbie Glow, nurse under the sponsorship of Dr. J. Paul Payne.

Physician assistant Owen Carr has changed his sponsor from Dr. Frank Jones to Dr. Aniefiok Uyoe — and is looking to add Drs. Troy Skidmore and Nur Nurbhai as sponsors. Nurse practitioner Robert Garrett has changed his sponsor from Dr. Scott McGee to Nurbhai — while also adding Skidmore and Uyoe as sponsors.

— Greta Owens, family nurse practitioner;

— Alexander Polsinelli, physician assistant;

— Lisa Sheffield, surgical technician;

— Lorraine Smallwood, pathology assistant;

— Shariah McKenzie Solomon, certified nurse midwife;

Meanwhile, Dr. Stacia Dzikunu, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist, has been determined by Phoebe to have met the focused professional practice evaluation requirements established by the hospital’s OB/GYN department. Dr. Stephen Weiss has returned from a leave of absence while Dr. William Hudson has been approved to proctor robotic gynecology cases.

The report went before the Professional Affairs Committee on Monday, and is on its way to the full hospital board for a vote. Before then, it was before Phoebe’s Medical Executive Committee on Nov. 6 and hospital’s Credentials Committee on Oct. 29.
