ALBANY — The Albany Police Department has obtained a murder warrant in connection to the September 2017 homicide of 35-year-old Nicholas Gillison.
Gillison was shot multiple times outside a Mossydale Lane home and died from his wounds.
“Officers were called to the location regarding a shooting and responded at approximately 10 a.m.,” the September APD press release said. “When they arrived, EMS was rendering aid to Gillison. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he later died.”
Police are now searching for Leonardo Davinci Bateman, 34, of Americus, according to reports.
“Bateman is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 190 pounds,” APD spokewoman Phyllis Banks said Wednesday. “If anyone has information regarding Bateman’s whereabouts, they can call the Albany Area Crime-Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS or the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau at (229) 431-2100.”
