ALBANY — Murder suspects wanted in connection to the Dec. 17 shooting death of Curtis Davis Jr. are now the primary suspects in a shooting that occurred Sunday night at an apartment on Hobson Street.
“The suspects in this case, Montrevious Parks, 19, and Alonze Jones, 25, also have outstanding murder warrants against them in the Curtis Davis homicide and should be considered armed and dangerous,” Albany Police Department spokeswoman Phyllis Banks said. “Detectives warn if anyone is hiding the two, they will be charged.”
Sunday’s incident occurred at 1308 Hobson St., Apartment 16, according to reports.
Officers responded at 9:42 p.m. in emergency mode to a gunshot call, officials said, and found 25-year-old Michael Wells shot in the chest and backside. Wells was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
According to reports, officers made contact with Wells’ girlfriend, whose name has not been released.
“Contact was made with Wells’ girlfriend, who advised that she was inside the residence with her child when she heard gunshots,” Banks said. “She stated that she dropped to the kitchen floor with her child. She stated that after the gunshots were finished, she noticed Wells sitting at the top of the stairs advising to call 911.”
According to the girlfriend, Wells advised her that he was shot.
“She advised that she is not sure what happened or who shot Wells,” said Banks. “The girlfriend advised that they had just gotten home from running errands. She stated that Wells was sitting in the car, while she was inside the residence.”
Police say that if anyone has information about the location of Parks and/or Jones, they should call the APD at (229) 431-2100 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477).
