PHILIPPINE SEA — Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Charles Marchant, from Sylvester, helped cut the cake to mark the hospital corpsman’s 119th birthday recently aboard the USS Green Bay.
Commanding Officer Capt. Nate Moyer and Hospitalman Brandon Lyerla from Carl Junction, Mo., also took part in the birthday cake celebration held in medical aboard the Green Bay.
The Green Bay is part of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance partnerships and be a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
