ALBANY — An Albany teenager has been arrested and charged with robbing a 12-year-old child.
Albany Police Department officers responded to a call on the 500 block of Ebony Lane in reference to a theft by taking. According to APD’s public information office, officers made contact with the victim’s uncle, Johnny Williams.
Williams told police he saw two girls holding down the 12-year-old victim against his will while the suspect, Sontavious White, took the victim’s phone. The three juveniles ran off when Williams tried to confront them.
White was taken into custody and charged with robbery by force.
