I need to put a fence around my yard to keep the neighbor’s dogs out, but my neighbor refuses to pay for it. Maybe the Dougherty County Commission will foot the bill.

Welfare, food stamps, WIC are not entitlements. They are taxpayer-funded handouts and shouldn’t be called entitlements at all. Social Security and veterans benefits are entitlements because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

No city commissioner on the public dole should ever appear in a TV commercial endorsing an ambulance chaser who doesn’t live here. His ostensible charity is a tax-deductible marketing stunt designed to prejudice a jury pool who will sit in judgment on his malpractice case.

I read the letter that was written to the editor about helping hands being color blind. What wonderful two people.

I have been a frequent contributor to the Squawkbox for years and have had hundreds printed: But the one someone wrote about Donald Trump starting a #GoFundMe to build his wall is the best one ever. What a great idea. I bet he wouldn’t get $10 from his base.

If there is ever a government shutdown and pay is stopped, the first group to be cut should be Congress. They are not doing their job with all the bills on the table. There are bills in the Finance Committee for over a year and nothing done. They are concerned only in being re-elected.

Does anyone really think Flynn and his attorneys would have agreed to plead guilty to lying to the FBI if he had not done so? Arguing about Flynn’s guilty plea is nothing more than a desperate attempt to distract from Trump’s multiple criminal acts.

Trump says that if the Affordable Care Act is overturned, we will have a big beautiful inexpensive new health care plan. I suppose Mexico is going to pay for it.

To the couple in Outback Sunday who paid for lunch for the three couples who sat near you, thank you very much. I would like to thank you personally, but since I can’t, I hope you see this. There are still some wonderfully generous giving people.

The Trump administration is the most corrupt in decades. So far, there have been 33 guilty pleas or indictments, including five former Trump advisors, 26 Russians, and three Russian companies. Seven have pleaded guilty, including Trump’s former lawyer, Cohen. The Republican corrupt values are not what Americans want.

Trump’s government shut-down is again an attempt to get a border wall he can’t get Mexico to pay for. Border security agents and the military will suffer some consequences from this great negotiator.

Motormouth Trump promised the American people that Mexico would pay for the wall. Why can’t he keep his promise to the American people?

Just like to remind Code Enforcement to do their job. Just drive down Bennett Drive and look at the house that has created a garbage dump, with bags in the back, bags on the side. It’s just ridiculous.
