Getting prepared to pay my 2018 Dougherty County tax bill, and I noticed that the county tax portion went up 24 percent in one year based on the same valuation amount. Wow, I should have been paying closer attention.

Why does the city allow the man to park his trailer on the city right-of-way on Old Dawson Road? It’s obvious that it is really only there to advertise his business. I have to see it twice a day. Other residents can’t put billboards for their businesses along that road. There are plenty of other places he can park that billboard/trailer.
