When does the new kinder and gentler Squawkbox begin? So far all I have seen is the same old hate-filled squawks that have plagued this feature.

What a fascinating story by Rachel Lord about the Crime and Punishment Museum in Ashburn. It’s right up the road, and I did not know it even existed, but I’m going.

I believe there is more than enough technical and local expertise to plan, design and execute most of our community’s issues. We keep trying to use algebra for an addition problem. 1. Clean up the community. 2. Repair streets. 3. Provide incentives for small businesses. 4. Clean water and no more spilled sewage. 5. Stop hiring others to do what we should do.

Along with Carlton Fletcher’s upgrade to the Squawkbox, please drop Creede Hinshaw’ so-called religious commentary. His views are self-serving, liberal, and counter to Christian Biblical teachings. Thanks.

Woman 1, Trump 0? Really? This has not been decided yet. Actually with Trump defeating Hillary and stopping Pelosi from going to Afghanistan, I say it is Trump 2, Woman 0. When the wall is built, it will be Trump 3, Woman 0.

Great article by Carlton Fletcher to enhance the Squawkbox. I have always thought it was detrimental to positive efforts in Southwest Georgia. I even have suggested that the name be changed to “Community Comments.” Some snips are positive. Kudos.

I agree totally with the squawker who said that Phoebe needs to fix the door at the end of the building next to the parking garage. It has been broken since the storm. People have to walk around to the front in the cold and rain.

I feel sorry for the person who doesn’t know the difference in the Berlin wall and the wall President Trump is trying to build. Many of the Democrats who oppose the wall live behind walls. I am 100 percent in favor of a border wall which helps to protect our country.

If ever there was a doubt that the inmates are running the asylum, look to our federal government.

The Army Corps of Engineers only made one sweep of areas in Radium Springs. There are still streets that have much storm debris on the side, waiting to be picked up.

Trump has proven that attending elite schools does not guarantee one gets a good education. He’s remarkably ignorant about history, geography, government, grammar, logic, and, most regrettably, ethics.

Prediction — as soon as the temperature drops below 30 degrees, some idiot will squawk asking “Where’s global warming?”
