There will be those who say the people who live in those trailer parks made their own beds and should lie in them. But if we’re serious about combating crime and blight and the other ills of our community, like Mr. Howard said, this would be a really good place to start.

Another sewage spill on Friday. But we need money for trails? Please.

Yes, if anybody should know anything at all about slumlord-owned trailer parks, it is Darrel Ealum. The only reason he helped sponsor that bill was to try and make it easy on him when one of his tenants abandons another dilapidated trailer in one of his “estates.”

A Costco Store would fit well in the abandoned KMart building.

Kooky Cortez is so out of touch with reality that she really believes in turning the U.S. into Venezula. We can spend trillions to go green, but if other countries don’t, where will that get us? We can’t change the world’s climate on our own.

The Junior League, as usual, nailed it again with their Kids in the Kitchen event. There were a lot of happy little faces in the mall Saturday.

The Super Bowl is over, and I had no withdrawal symptoms this weekend. I think I can finally proudly announce that I am “NFL-free.”

Donald Trump declaring the mind of God is like Sarah Palin explaining the theories of Einstein. Those polar opposites just do not attract.

Here we go again, a politician telling us how much of the tax will be paid by someone from another county. Who cares? If you spend $20-30,000 a year in Dougherty county, on food, rent, car payments, house payments, cloths, restaurants, etc. you pay $200-$300 a year out of your pocket. That’s money you could spend on your needs.

The article on Clennon King and his racially charged movie and rhetoric is just another reason Albany will never move forward in the future. He and his brother,, among several others, make a living out of screaming racism. All in Albany know well of Clennon King’s past lack of success.

Looking at some of the pictures with the story about Jon Howard and the trailer parks, I see what Mr. Howard means by third-world country.

My feral cat is now tamed and neutered. I also trapped, fixed and released several others and what was once a neighborhood problem has been resolved. And song birds still sing. But until there are responsible pet owners, nobody wants to deal with the real solution, which is to require a license for your pet.

For the many Democratic presidential candidates saying they want to return our government back to the people: Ask them why they have not supported term limits for Congressional reps. Just more deception.

Squawker, I love all animals in God’s creation, and birds are a favorite. But they do poop all over my car, mail box and roof. Do you suggest that we annihilate all of them, too? Due to the efforts and dollars of many caring folks, fewer feral and pet cats are roaming the streets. As I have said before, put your destructive thoughts on hold and grow a heart.
