It is very nice to see Glenn Singfield volunteer to be on a Dougherty County board. Having a person that resides, raised children and started multiple successful businesses will be beneficial to the Hospital Authority Board. Good things can happen in Albany.

Thank you, Clennon King, for your excellent and thought-provoking documentary. Good luck with your quest to have this horrible crime re-opened.

Flaunting the intent of the law by following the wording of the law. The trailer parked in the front yard on Old Dawson Road that is clearly signage. But because it is a trailer, it is allowed to defeat the purpose of the ordinance.

A simple fact for Trumps’ Christians: Trump Jr.’s emails showed he took a meeting with Russians to get dirt on Clinton. Collusion.

There are so many churches in Albany filled with religious men and women. Unfortunately, religion is a man-made concept, called the “opiate of the masses.” I say close all these money-making religious businesses down and start over with one simple concept: worship. Not idolatry.

Please don’t downsize the Sunday crossword puzzle again. It makes the clue numbers almost impossible to read. And don’t bother to rerun it. It just took longer.

I got gas today for $1.39. Unfortunately, it was at Taco Bell.

I guess the days of farmers making or breaking it with their crops by the sweat of their own brow are over. Now, it’s cheap immigrant labor (often illegal) and their hands out to big papa government to bail them out. Talk about entitlement.

To the holier-than-thou Squawker who defends his own hatred and Trump’s actions by (mis)quoting scripture. Here’s one for you: James 1:26: “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion [is] vain.”

You are right, squawker. I think the weather lady should pull her head out of the sand and look around. Albany has not been the Good Life City in a while.

Not one of these Democrats lining up to run for president has a chance against Donald Trump, the greatest president in the history of America. Let’s keep him in office.

How Republicans deny people their right to vote: require citizenship, require identification, vote only one time and be alive.

The most ridiculous law of our land: hate crime. If you shoot someone between the eyes, or knock their brains out with a hammer, I do not believe you like them very much. Yet you hear, “The district attorney will investigate to consider if this qualifies as a hate crime.”

I don’t know if I’d go so far as to call them superheroes — their addictions were, after all, their own making — but I agree that the folks at the Aspire Change Center are pretty amazing.

If you had a pencil sharpened on both ends, Democrats would not be able to figure out which end to write with.

With all the focus on the internet and social media, I’m glad we still have a newspaper that runs stories about real people in our community. Thank you, Albany Herald.
