The anti-solar energy squawker is wrong. Solar costs have decreased 88 percent in the last 10 years, and it is now cheaper than nuclear and coal. And Georgia has plenty of sun to make it a worthwhile investment.

When are we going to stop blaming “society” for the issues that our young people are facing and lay the blame where it belongs: at the feet of absentee or non-caring parents who rely on daddy government to take care of them? We’re now raising a third generation of kids who don’t have any idea what it means to work for a living.

You know you’re getting old when you catch yourself ordering a 55-gallon barrel of Plexaderm.

Unless some of these government officials actually explain what will be done with the T-SPLOST money in the next few days, I plan to vote no on taxing myself even more. The County Commission did a good enough job of that last year with that almost 25 percent increase.

To the squawker who says that Trump is a righteous Christian gentleman: I guess he was a true family man when he cheated on all three wives.

I think it’s admirable that the sisters came up with, and followed through, on their plan to clean up the area around their business. But litter is an all-over problem, and until we either educate or force people to stop throwing their trash on the streets by fining them, there are too many here who just don’t care.

We fish on the right and don’t willingly sin but are sinners that repent. Revelations 12:10 says Satan tells God of our sins constantly and needs no help from you.

The insurance companies are actually running our country. They get the government, by paying them loads of money, to make laws that require us to have insurance for this and insurance for that so that they’re guaranteed income. Then, when there is an issue where someone files a claim, they either don’t pay or, if they do, they cancel your policy.

Actually, squawker, good ole Obama on one of his many serious money-w‎asted trips abroad had lunch and a beer with Anthony Bourdain in Hanoi, Vietnam, in September 2016.

Part of your requirement as a citizen is to pay attention to the things that impact you, your family, your home and your community and voice your opinion about such issues. Waiting until action has already been taken is never the way to get things done. We have to be proactive, not reactive.

With all this talk about gun control, I haven’t heard the socialists with a plan to take guns away from criminals. Just law-abiding citizens.

Take a ride over to northwest Albany, and you’ll see an area that looks like part of a booming community. Then turn around and drive into southeast Albany and you’ll see trash, abandoned buildings and businesses that look like they haven’t been inspected in decades. We create a level of expectation in sectors of our community by pouring money into one place and ignoring the other. A city can only survive if all its sectors are cared for and held to certain standards.
