I wholeheartedly agree with Michele Moore about the situation here in Albany. So sad.

Gas prices are going through the roof again. Ouch.

When you say America is not a Christian nation and make that statement part of the Treaty of Tripoli, that is hardly taking it out of context. You can’t be any more clear than that.

Leave it to Carlton Fletcher to try and glorify Albany State University’s continued insistence that it be called an HBCU even though they merged with Darton. That will never fly with former Darton supporters.

Just got new LED street lights on the 2000 block of Sharon. Poor replacement; they just shine light in a small narrow arc under the light. They don’t light up the whole block like the old ones did. Not impressed.

Thank you, Mr. Fletcher, for your beautifully written article about Albany State’s history. Some people want to forget that part of ASU’s past, but that would be a mistake. We must always remember.

Michele and Bill Moore are good people. I’m outraged that city officials have treated them with such disrespect. Here’s hoping they get what they deserve, even if they have to go to court to get it.

Congratulations ASU on celebrating Founder’s Day. You obviously have a strong advocate on your side at The Herald. That’s a good thing.

Just want to give a “shout out” for the outstanding staff on Phoebe Putney’s ninth floor (orthopedics). My wife underwent another back surgery on March 20th, and the staff on the ninth floor provided excellent care and concern. Special mention to Cheryl, Denise, Betsy and Bailey.

I am a Vietnam (infantry) combat vet, and I have the utmost respect for John McCain. Who in the world is the “they” who say “he (McCain) did not want to be released from the Viet Cong POW camp because then he would have been sent back into the war as an active U.S. soldier to be shot at”? Read what our servicemen who were residents of the Hanoi Hilton went through and you will know there is no sane person who would agree to remain imprisoned there.

Trump lies more about a new health care plan than fake Christians lie about their beliefs.
