TIFTON — A Chick-fil-A in Tifton that was torn down in early February will unveil its newly-reconstructed building and bring 95 new jobs with it on Thursday.

The celebration will include a children’s book drive to benefit the Tiftarea YMCA and a First 100 camp-out where the first 100 in line will receive a year’s supply of Chick-fil-A.

Officials said the new building now sports an extra 1,000 feet of space to make room for a larger kitchen, bigger men’s restroom, an indoor playground and one of the most spacious parking lots in the Chick-fil-A chain. The restaurant also has an expanded and rerouted drive-thru to handle almost 20 more cars in line and a new canopy feature “for an even better face-to-face ordering guest experience.”

The overnight First 100 camp-out that will pop-up in the restaurant parking lot starts at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, which is 24 hours before the grand opening. Guests will try to be one of the first 100 adults through the door to win a digital offer card loaded with a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals — including 52 meals with each consisting of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, medium waffle potato fries and a medium beverage — around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday.

If more than 100 people are onsite when the line officially opens at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, a drawing will be held to randomly select the first 100. Those chosen will be required to camp out until the grand opening in order to secure their spot. The community event is open to those residing in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant.

Those interested in the First 100 event can find details and rules at https://thechickenwire.chick-fil-a.com/News/Future-Openings. Both the reopening and the First 100 party will be located at 1197 U.S. Highway 82 West in Tifton.
