VALDOSTA — Some call Grammy-winner TobyMac’s music “soul music.” Others consider it “soul-saving music.”

South Georgians and North Floridians who fall in both camps will just be happy that TobyMac is bringing his inspirational act to Wild Adventures Theme Park here Saturday, the first Christian-themed performance of the park’s 2016 All-Star Concert Series.

With more than 22 million in album sales and six Grammy awards on his resume, TobyMac appeals to fans both spiritual and secular with his unique blend of rock, hip-hop and soul.

“I can’t wait to play music from (new album) ‘This Is not a Test’ for our friends in Valdosta,” the artist said of the 8 p.m. performance.

With “Lose My Soul” and “City on Our Knees” among his more popular songs, TobyMac first tasted mainstream success in 2009 when he earned a Best Rock Gospel Album Grammy. In 2013, his “Eye on It” album received a Billboard magazine award for Best Christian Album and a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album.

Singer/songwriter Hollyn will open Saturday’s Wild Adventures concert, her first performance at the theme park.

“I can’t wait,” the singer said.

In addition to penning her own hits “Hey, Mama” and “Nothin’ on You,” Hollyn co-wrote several songs with TobyMac.

General admission for the concert is included in single tickets or with the purchase of a season pass. The latter tickets are available for $15 off regular price through Sunday.

A limited number of reserved seats are available in advance of each concert for $10, or $5 for Gold Passholders. Those seats are $15 on the day of the show.
