ALBANY — Twenty one students from eight Dougherty County Schools competed last weekend in the 2017 Southwest District Project Achievement held at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center near Eatonton, Georgia.

According to 4-H officials, the group of 21 students is one of the largest delegations ever to participate from Dougherty County in the self-directed individual competition which includes presentations, documented work records, leadership and service based experimental learning activities.

During Project Achievement, students had the opportunity to explore areas of interest and share their knowledge through a competitive process designed to meet youth development and age appropriate standards.

Projects were offered in more than 50 different educational topics.

Students who participated were: Dianah Anderson of Monroe Comprehensive High; Consuela Blue of Albany High School; Kiedon Bryant of Albany High School; Tandria Burke of Westover Comprehensive High; Zyan Campbell of Albany High School; Korby Fedd of Merry Acres Middle School; Sherrmitria Garrett of Westover Comprehensive High; Mynasia Green of Albany High School; Oscar Hardin of Westover Comprehensive High; Kirsten Hayes of Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School; Elizbeth Jones of Radium Springs Middle School; and Ja’Nya Jones of Merry Acres Middle School.

Also competing were: Skyler Middleton of Radium Springs Middle School; Amaya Morris of Radium Springs Middle School; Nicholas Perry of Albany High School; Amauree Pollard of Radium Springs Middle School; Amadi Teemer of Westover Comprehensive High; Julian Thomas of Albany High School; Jayvon Williams of Dougherty Comprehensive High School; Jasmine Woodard of Southside Middle School; and Kiana Wright of Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School.
