ALBANY — Two men wanted in connection with a shooting that sent a 25 year-old Albany man to the hospital a week ago, have been arrested, authorities said.

According to Phyllis Banks, a spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department, Devin Covon Randle, 20, and Kenota Rashon Brantley, 21, both from Albany, have been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime for their role in a shooting that sent Brennan Terell Woods to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital last week.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. on April 5 at 2710 Homewood Court, when witnesses said three black males exited an older model Lincoln Towncar that had pulled up in front of the apartment and approached the victim.

Those witnesses reported that Brennan fled on foot and was chased by the three men before several shots were fired, four of which struck him. After the shots were fired the three men returned to the vehicle and fled the scene. The Towncar was later found by authorities.

Banks said the case remains active as investigators continue to search for a third suspect. Anyone with information on crimes in the Albany area who wish to remain anonymous can call Albany Area CrimeStoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8447). Those who use it can become eligible for cash rewards.
