Two people shot during Friday altercation at Albany convenience store

ALBANY – Two people were transported to the hospital from the scene of a Friday afternoon shooting at a convenience store.

“It started with an altercation in the store and resulted in a shooting outside the store,” Albany Police Department Public Information Officer Sylah Ferguson said.

Police responded to the scene at about 4:28 p.m.

Police have not identified the two victims who were wounded during the shooting at the 2824 Old Dawson Road Shell location.
