ALBANY — Woodall’s gas and convenience grocery was robbed early Wednesday morning by three masked gunmen.
Officials say the unidentified bandits, with bandanas covering their faces, entered the store at 1500 N. Slappey Blvd. around 1 a.m., demanding that the clerks give them money from the register.
According to Albany police, store clerks Michelle Lawson, 29, and Micheal Flower Jr., 25, and a customer Donald Hinson, 55, were held at gunpoint until the robbers left with an undetermined amount of cash.
The gunmen were black males. One was described as wearing green pants with a white t-shirt and gray hoodie. A second gunman was wearing black pants with black and white Nike shoes and a black hoodie. The third holdup man was dressed in dark pants and a light-colored hoodie, and was carrying black book bag.
No injuries were reported in the incident and offices say the case will be forwarded to the detective bureau of the Albany Police Department.
