ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 35 incidents late Thursday, according to police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Animal at large, two counts, on the 1000 block of Residence Avenue;
— Entering auto theft of a car battery on the 500 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Felony theft by computer, an employee stole from an employer on the 2700 block of Dawson Road;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 2200 block of West Gordon Avenue, a man left his car engine running as he went into a store on the 2200 block of West Gordon Avenue and his car was stolen;
— Assault on the 200 block of Edward Drive;
— Simple battery, criminal trespass (family violence) on the 300 block of South Jackson Street;
— Aggravated assault (domestic violence) on the 1600 block of Gardner Drive;
— Vandalism (family violence) on the 100 block of Julia Avenue;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 500 block of 10th Avenue, 1100 block of East Fourth Avenue, 1400 Avalon Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least eight calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Traffic crash (animal) a 2004 Trail Blazer going south on Liberty Expressway near Nelms Road struck a dog;
— Narcotics investigation, the smell of marijuana from a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu led to an arrest for possession during a traffic stop on the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Deceased person, on the 3900 block of Sylvester Road;
— Narcotics investigation, the smell of marijuana led to a search of a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria and the discovery of marijuana and a firearm. The case was turned over to Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit;
— Motor vehicle theft of a 1998 Ford Windstar on the 400 block of Pine Bluff Road;
— Domestic violence (aggravated stalking) on the 500 block of Southgate Avenue;
— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 72 calls on Wednesday. There were 46 medical calls, 23 trauma calls and three other calls. Medical calls included, six chest pains, five respiratory problems, one nausea vomiting, one altered mental state, one diabetic complaints, two seizures, two mental problems, one allergic reaction, two miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest and 24 various medical. Trauma calls included 18 vehicle crash injuries and five falls. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
