ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 47 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Entering autos on the 600 block of Harmon Road and the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Theft by taking a delivered package from a porch on the 400 block of Jeffries Avenue;
— Criminal use of an article (handgun) with an altered identification number on the 800 block of West Mercer Avenue;
— Burglaries on the 2200 block of Dawson Road and the 1700 block of Parker Avenue;
— Terroristic threats on the 2500 block of Dawson Road and the 2000 block of Thompkins Avenue;
— Drunken driving resulting in a vehicle crash on the 2100 block of Robinhood Road;
— Theft by conversion: An employee allegedly claimed to be the owner of a business and had a customer make a check out to him on the 2300 block of Gail Avenue;
— Recovered property, a 21-inch Troy-Bilt lawnmower, on the 1900 block of Hilltop Drive;
— Motor-vehicle theft of a 1988 Oldsmobile Regency on the 1100 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Battery on the 1500 block of East First Street;
— Armed robbery with a knife: A man was approached by thieves who cut him with a knife and stole his money on the 300 block of Thornton Drive;
— Theft by taking a toy poodle on the 1600 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Assaults (family violence) on the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue and the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;
— Simple battery (family violence) on the 2400 block of Nottingham Way;
— Battery (family violence) on the 900 block of Inverness Road;
— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 200 block of Talafax Road, the 600 block of Chippington Court and the 500 block of Robinson Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 13 calls Tursday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Narcotics investigation: A traffic stop of a 2002 Dodge Caravan led to the driver getting out of the car and dropping a container with two crack-cocaine rocks. The driver was cited for improper stopping, driving without a license and other vehicle violations, and the drug investigation was handed over to the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit;
— Miscellaneous harassing calls on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 70 calls on Thursday. There were 40 medical calls, 25 trauma calls and five other calls. Medical calls included four chest pains, six respiratory problems, nausea/vomiting, one person fainted, three altered mental state, one diabetic complaint, a fever, a cardiac arrest call, three miscellaneous pain calls, two stroke symptoms and 17 various medical calls. Trauma calls included 16 vehicle crash injuries, six falls, two lacerations and one fight/assault. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least eight calls Thursday, according to reports. Deputies responded to incidents including:
— Theft of 500 pounds of equipment from a Wood- Mizer hydraulic saw mill and lumber on the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Theft of a $160 Cannon camera on the 100 block of Lumac Drive;
— Traffic stop and seizure of drug-related objects including spoons, pills, lighters and hypodermic needles at the intersection of Lee Drive and Kinchafoonee Circle Road;
— Theft and recovery of property, scrap metal, on the 700 block of Graves Springs Road.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 12 calls Thursday including two vehicle fluid cleanups, a public fire safety service, structure fire, medical assist, installation of a smoke detector, vehicle smoking, three active alarms, a trash fire and a smoke odor.
