BLAKELY — Alex Fudge connected on one of two free throws attempts before Early County’s desperation 3-point attempt went out of bounds as Seminole County held on for a thrilling 93-89 victory at Early County on Tuesday.

The Indians (5-1, 3-0 Region 1-AA) outscored Early 25-19 in the third quarter, then pushed their lead to as high as 12 before Qubalah Hall drilled several 3-point baskets to trim Seminole’s lead to just three points with less than a minute remaining. However, that was as close as the Bobcats could get.

Herald Super 6er Jordan Harris led all scorers with 31 points, while Anfernee King added 23 for Seminole County. Dwayne Samson finished with 14, mostly in the second half to propel the Indians to the victory. Fudge finished with 11.

Hall was lethal for the Bobcats, finishing with 21 points, including five 3-point baskets. Tracy Beacham led Early with 24 points, while Traquez Wells added 21. Devonte George finished with 10.

BAINBRIDGE BOYS 69, THOMAS COUNTY CENTRAL 60: Bainbride had little trouble with Thomas County Central. Four Bearcat players, including Georgia commit Tyree Crump, scored in double figures to lead Bainbridge. Crump led the way with 19 points, Trevon Shaw added 14, while Malik Middleton and Myles Thomas finished with 11 points apiece.
