Sizzling Summer Art Show opens in Albany | PHOTOS

The Albany Area Arts Council and the Georgia Artist Guild of Albany hosted an opening reception Thursday evening for their August art show and sale, “Sizzling Summer Show: Art Like You’ve Never Seen it Before,” at the Carnegie Library council headquarters and gallery, 215 N. Jackson St.

Showcased are the works of 17 guild members in a variety of media, including watercolor, photography, sculpture, hand-wrought jewelry and others. The AAAC is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays and admission is free. The exhibit will continue through Aug. 28.
