TIFTON — Artists from near and far, music, a sidewalk cafe and more will enliven the interior and grounds of the Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage on Saturday, Nov 7, for the Second Annual Artists Market on Love. The free event will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m in downtown Tifton.

Many of the artists will be familiar from their many years attending Tifton’s Love Affair Fine Arts Festival. Among these are Charles Pinckney, jeweler from Athens, fiber artist Wini McQueen from Macon and Randy Anthony, wood sculptor, from Fitzgerald.

Several new artists will join the event this year, including painter Martha Tisdale of Macon, jewelry designer Ridley Fleming of Tifton, and potter Jim Mitchell from Cordele.

Tifton’s Steve Woodham will offer his popular inlaid turned wood Christmas ornaments and bowls. Watercolor, oil, acrylic and encaustic paintings will be shown by local artists Darlene Pilcher, Joy Matthews, Jennifer McCall, and Mary Ann Cox.

Lisa Kent, Tifton, will offer paintings, handmade paper and other creations, and Vicki Churchman of Albany, will display her handmade glass bead jewelry.

Attendees can expect to be surprised and delighted by the unusual found-art creations of artisan John Davis on the front lawn of the Museum, while musicians Davey Davis and Jay Short provide a lively background. Dave’s Bread and Coffee will offer sandwiches and beverages to be enjoyed at the Sidewalk Cafe.
