ALBANY — At least one shooting was reported over the weekend in Albany, sending two victims to the hospital, police officials said.

Curtis Thomas, 48, and Timothy Zackery Jr., 40, were the victims in an assault reported at 1316 E. Residence Ave. around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, said Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department.

Zackery stated he was standing outside in the front yard when he was struck by a bullet upon hearing several shots coming from a gray colored vehicle parked in the alley.

Thomas said he was inside the residence watching TV when a bullet grazed him, Banks said.

A spokeswoman for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital said Monday afternoon that both men had been discharged from the hospital. The shooting remains under investigation, Banks said.
