POULAN — A methamphetamine lab in Worth County has been dismantled and two people arrested following a raid in Poulan Monday night.
Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby said sheriff’s deputies and officers of the Poulan Police Department raided a residence at 442 Northwood Drive around 10:30 p.m., where they discovered evidence of methamphetamine manufacture, including some equipment used to “cook” the illegal drug.
“It wasn’t an active lab,” Hobby said, “But it was pretty clear someone had been making meth in the house.”
Arrested at the site were Richard Futrill, 47, and April Murphy, 43, Hobby said. They were charged with one count each of manufacturing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of drug-related objects.
Hobby said the lab was dismantled and turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for disposal.
