ALBANY — Albany Police Department officers were called Wednesday to the 400 block of Bennington Lane on reports of a woman with gunshot wounds inside one of the homes.

Around 10 a.m., officers discovered an unidentified female, wounded at least twice, officers say, who was then transported by EMS to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment.

According to Albany Police Department officials, the victim had been shot Wednesday around 11 a.m., though it’s still uncertain if she was injured at the Bennington scene or another location. The investigation is ongoing, officials say.
