Businessman supports T-SPLOST

Currently, our city and county are voting on an additional 1 cent sales tax for T-SPLOST. I want to express my support for the T-SPLOST referendum as a citizen and as a business owner in Albany.

As a citizen, I see the decaying streets and sidewalks in all of our neighborhoods. The pace that our city and county can address the failing infrastructure is obviously not adequate and more funding is needed. The unsafe and congested intersections that need better turning lanes, improved signage and updated signals, are imperative to be funded now with T-SPLOST.

As a restaurant owner, I see every day the number of patrons who live outside Dougherty County that eat in my restaurant. A T-SPLOST in Albany would allow those outside of Dougherty County to provide funding for the streets and roads they use.

I encourage you to vote “Yes” for T-SPLOST.
