LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Column shows lack of journalistic integrity

Dear Mr. Fletcher,

I read B.J. Fletcher’s column in Sunday morning’s paper with quite a bit of skepticism. When I googled “zalinski yachts,” I came up with several refutations of the information she provided. I also googled “defense secretary sends children to ukraine,” and again found that the source for this is not reputable, namely Tucker Carlson.

To put it bluntly, I will believe the Associated Press before B.J. Fletcher any day. I am disappointed that you allowed this misinformation to be published in your paper. Ms. Fletcher can state her opinions anytime she wants, but misinformation and disinformation are a different matter.

I hold you in high regard and appreciate the work you do in service of journalism and this city. But please realize that there are some idiots in this town that will believe anything.

Sincerely,

Daniel Wheeler
