LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Mike Johnson brings God back into House

The recent chaos we have been seeing in the House has been finally returned to order with the confirmation of Mike Johnson as the new Speaker of the House.

The vote kept the government from being shut down and gives us all hope that we can begin dealing with the major problems facing the United States as Mike Johnson defined among other things “the enormous unrestrained national debt.”

I liked that a fellow Republican Congressman described Johnson as “a man with the heart of God and the peace of Christ.” I can’t imagine a better accolade.

After hearing his genuine and impassioned speech, I could hardly keep from weeping as this decision restored our hope that sanity can be returned to our weak and fragmented government. Thank God we are finally bringing God back into the House of Representatives.
