MATTHEW ST. CLAIR: Violence is highest in Democrat-run cities

Once again, we’re faced with a school shooting tragedy, and once again the hue and cry of gun control is heard from every liberal in the country.

Never mind that the FBI dropped the ball after being warned several times of the threat this moke posed. Never mind that both students and teachers knew this guy was a walking time bomb. Never mind that he was a mental health patient and should never have been cleared to buy a firearm.

What the Democrats demand is that I and millions of other law-abiding gun owners be sanctioned because the U.S. government, the state of Florida and the Parkland school system screwed this up and should be held not only culpable, but responsible for what happened on 14 February.

Another thing that strikes me as odd about the Democratic hue and cry against the 2nd Amendment is that since 7 October, 2017, according to the Baltimore Sun, there have been 100 killings in Baltimore (that isn’t counting the injuries). According to ABC News Channel 7 in Chicago, there have been 40 murders and 160 shootings just in February so far.

These cities and others run by Democrats have the strictest gun laws in the country, yet they also have the most gun violence. Why?
