To the Editor:
Max Cleland defined public service. After losing three limbs in combat, he rehabbed in VA hospitals and later became VA Secretary under President Jimmy Carter. He served the people of Georgia with courage and conviction as their U.S. Senator and was the best of us.
Godspeed, soldier.
