NADINE M. MATHIS: What the world needs now is faith

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Don’t wait for tragedy to strike to turn to God

Today’s world needs faith more than silver and gold. We wonder why. Why is this terrible thing going on in people’s lives? I can tell you God does not put more on us than we can stand and some people wait until tragedy comes into their life to pray or give thought to hope, faith, love or our Heavenly Father.

If he created us in his image, why not give the glory and honor to our Lord? He knew you before you got into the world. That’s strange, but the Bible says this. So faith is good, true and faithful to all, and these are God’s words, not mine. As the days and months go by and people are getting hurt and killed, we need to pray 24/7, give our thanks for life and for being here.

Regardless of whoever we are, we need Jesus every day and to thank him just over and over, and, wherever we are at, talk to God and know he does hear us. Just thank him for life this day. Albany is a blessed town so far, however, pray and have faith before any storm comes our way. God, help us. I say, material things on Earth don’t find faith.
