A lot of the people in jail are required to do community service. That could include picking up trash.

This is for the Squawker who said Donald Trump is going to evolve into the greatest president ever: All I can say is back away from the bottle.

Albany has just been voted No. 1 in the nation for having the most drivers who fail to follow traffic laws.

To all of you who think we don’t need guns: Look back at what happened to the American Indians. Don’t think it can’t happen again.

It took forever for the DOT to put a red light at Chambers Crossing in Lee County. It will probably take two forevers to put one at Nelms Road in Mitchell County.

The president’s White House counsel does not have permanent clearance. This is outrageous.

If anyone sees an Albany police officer driving on Westover who is not on his cellphone, leaning back, texting or talking, please let me know.

Carlton, you’re right. Let’s look back to when those representatives have been there in Congress. All they’ve done is a lot of talking. They’ve all been there. But I believe in my heart we finally have a president who’s going to do something about it.

Administrators should stop trying to bully their employees. They should remember they have a boss, too. Treat people the way you want to be treated.

The squawker is in error about buying locally on high-ticket items. The bidding process is what saves taxpayers. We should honor the lowest bid.

I just want to say reading Carlton Fletcher’s article on Wednesday, I read the whole article and I truly appreciate what he had to say. And Cal Thomas, too.

Squawker: John Hayes has done nothing good for the county. He is responsible for the current lawsuit pending against the county, which the county will lose.

I think the best way to keep our children from being shot and killed at school is to do like the Marine Base: Put a fence around the schools, have a guard at the gate and get rid of those backpacks.

Developing in the news: Four black county commissioners are discriminating against the only highly qualified candidate, who happens to be black. Dr. King would be ashamed.

Commissioners, you better open your eyes and look around about what’s going on with Mr. McCoy. He is nothing but trouble. If he is named administrator, he is going to be a pain in your side the rest of his career. Get your head out of the sand.

One of the roads they need to resurface in Albany is Palmyra Road. That’s the roughest ride I’ve ever had. There are more potholes and manholes and poor repairs there than anywhere else. It needs to be first, bottom line.

To the Squawker who said she gets nauseated seeing a young, able-bodied person pulling out a Peach Card: First of all, it’s an EBT card. Second, I’m a young able-bodied person who works 40 hours a week at minimum wage, and it’s not enough to feed my family. Your nausea is sickening.

Low-energy Jeb must have been psychic when, back during the campaign, he stated a Trump White House would be nothing but chaos. And he was right.
