Dear Dr. Henry M. Brown: I live in south Albany. The media is not at fault because it reports issues concerning elected officials. As a taxpayer, shouldn’t I know honest details about city/county lawsuits? Shouldn’t I be concerned when blacks refuse to hire blacks? Whose “powers that be” are we really sticking together for … more of this?
Ban pre-shredded cheese. Make America grate again.
With all the good golfers out there, I am so tired of hearing about Tiger Woods. He may have been good, but give more credit to the up-and-comers. This includes the announcers who talk about him all the time.
The Republican primary in Georgia seems to be a groveling contest to see who can most sincerely and abjectly pander to right wing special interests.
The reason that the Dougherty County Commission has been silent since the judge ruled against the restraining order is they are waiting for Phoebe to tell them what they say. Citizens of Dougherty County, please go to the poles and let’s make a change.
If the Dougherty County Commissioners continue with their lawsuit against the Lee County hospital, it will be a case of trying to win a battle when they have already lost the war.
Michael Williams’ deportation bus tour is an outrage and an embarrassment to the state of Georgia, or at least to the citizens who still have an ounce or more of decency in them.
It sure would be nice if the city would have someone to come and pick up the yard trash along the 2000/2100 block of Edgewood off Whispering Pines. This trash has been there for well over a year.
Notice California stopped the secession talk since figuring out the rest of the nation wants them to leave.
Mike McCoy named 2018 Administrative Manager of the Year. More egg on the faces of John Hayes and the three other commissioners voting to deny this man a deserved promotion.
Teachers are not a burden to older property owners. But older people are a burden to our health care cost. Everybody is somebody’s burden. You pay taxes to support your community. You don’t use every park, library, road or bridge, but the county takes care of it. We need public schools to continue the early education of your future farmer, firefighter, clergy, mechanic, lab technician, store manager, etc.
To the residents on Pendleton Street who allow their dogs to mess on the property of others: If caught on film, that picture will be given to the Dougherty County Police department. A $100 fine will be arriving shortly after. Be on guard.
My family has had several admissions to Phoebe Putney hospital and have always had excellent care and we will continue to go there.
Even though Dougherty County citizens could possibly see a reduction in their out-of-pocket insurance expenses with the construction of the Lee County Medical Center, Chris Cohilas and Spencer Lee will jump through all hoops, such as suing the state of Georgia, in order to appease Phoebe. If they ever decide to change jobs, both will have a future with the circus.
