ALBANY, GA. – The Albany State University Department of Athletics has announced that Alex Pickrell has resigned from her post as the head women’s soccer coach.

“We would like to thank Coach Pickrell for her commitment and leadership. Coach Pickrell has been instrumental in building a new women’s soccer program at Albany State University. We wish Alex nothing but the best as she moves on to the next phase of her professional journey,” said Sherie Gordon, ASU director of athletics.

In two seasons at the helm of the ASU women’s soccer program, Pickrell compiled an overall record of 1-24-1. During the 2018 season, the Golden Rams earned their first win in the program’s history.

The Department of Athletics will launch a national search for a coach to lead the Golden Rams in their inaugural season in the Peach Belt Conference.
