THE FLATS – Georgia Tech fans will be treated to a drone show during halftime of the 2026 season opener versus Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 3 from above Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field.

As a part of the continued effort to enhance the Georgia Tech fan experience, fans will now have the chance to witness a never-before-seen show featuring 300 drones taking to the Atlanta sky during halftime of the Yellow Jackets’ highly anticipated season opener against Colorado, along with the traditional performances by Georgia Tech Spirit, Goldrush and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Marching Band.

The drone show will take place above the videoboard in the south end zone, in the heart of Atlanta. Along with the newly added halftime show, the season opener will also be the annual Whiteout game,  a longtime Georgia Tech football tradition.

Tech fans are encouraged to wear white for the highly anticipated opener, which kicks off at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The Jackets’ official 2026 Under Armour Whiteout T-shirt is now available and can be purchased at the Ramblin’ Wreck Team Store (click HERE to purchase online).

Tickets still remain for the season-opening Whiteout game against Colorado, as well as the remainder of the Yellow Jackets’ seven-game home schedule, which also features another massive non-conference tilt against Tennessee (Saturday, Sept. 12 – 7 p.m., ESPN), as well as ACC battles against defending conference champion Duke (Oct. 10) and 2025 bowl winners Louisville (Nov. 7) and Wake Forest (Nov. 21).
