BELLVILLE, Ga. — The Deerfield-Windsor Lady Knights lost a heartbreaker to John Milledge Academy Tuesday night in the first round of the Georgia Independent Schools Association Class AAA state tournament at Pinewood Christian Academy.

After building an early lead, John Milledge took a 50-49 victory to end the Lady Knights’ season.

The Lady Trojans jumped out to a quick start in the first quarter, building a 15-4 advantage. Deerfield-Windsor had to play catch up the rest of the game.

Emilee Foy, Patsy Cartee and Lila Lanier led the way with 11 points each. Hannah Mills finished with 10.
