Deerfield-Windsor catcher Steven Williams was named to the CBS MaxPreps Preseason All-America High School Baseball Team announced on Thursday.

The three-year starter, who was also a Perfect Game All-American, is a two-time Albany Herald Ray Knight Player of the Year recipient.

Williams is one of four Georgians named to the team. He joins Augusta Cross Creek’s Luis Campusano, also selected as a catcher, as well as Valdosta High pitcher DL Hall and Allatoona outfielder Kyle Jacobsen on the team.

Hall helped lead Houston County to the Class AAAAA state championship last season before transferring to Valdosta.

Williams has led Deerfield-Windsor to back-to-back Georgia Independent Schools Association Class AAA state championships.
