Lee County defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon was named the Albany Herald’s Football Player of the Year, while Pelham coach Dondrial Pinkins was named the John Reynolds Coach of the Year after helping the Hornets to the Georgia High School Association Region 1-A title.
Mitchell County’s Kentre’vious Williams was named the Albany Herald People’s Choice Player of the Year as voted by Albany Herald readers.
Worth County softball standout Taylor Layfield repeated as softball player of the year.
