Florida-Georgia All-Star Football Game returns

The Florida-Georgia High School All-Star Football Game is returning this year. The event will be played Dec. 30 at Spec Martin Stadium in Deland, Fla.

This football game will be a feature some of the best senior players from Florida and Georgia. The rivalry is being renewed after more than a decade of not being played. Each state is recruited by most major universities and will feature many elite student-athletes that are committed to these programs.

Team Florida will be led by Joey Wiles of St. Augustine High School. Team Georgia will be led by Howie DeCristofaro of Milton High School. These coaches have developed great programs that have produced many major college level players as well as NFL players.

Past great players in this game for Team Florida include Emmitt Smith, Derrick Brooks and Deion Sanders. Past great players for Team Georgia include Garrison Hearst, Hines Ward and Champ Bailey.
