BRIGHTON, Mass. — No. 3 Georgia Tech continued its historic season Thursday night behind a dominant pitching performance from junior Tate McKee and another offensive explosion as the Yellow Jackets blanked No. 23 Boston College 9-0 in ACC baseball action.

McKee delivered the best outing of his collegiate career, allowing only one hit across seven scoreless innings while striking out a career-high 14 batters. The junior right-hander walked one and hit one batter as Georgia Tech improved to 43-9 overall and 23-5 in ACC play.

The victory gave the Yellow Jackets the best 52-game start in program history and moved Georgia Tech within one win of securing back-to-back ACC regular season championships.

McKee’s 14 strikeouts were the most by a Georgia Tech pitcher against an ACC opponent since Connor Thomas struck out 17 against Wake Forest in 2018.

While McKee dominated on the mound, Georgia Tech’s offense continued its record-setting pace by blasting four home runs.
