LEESBURG — On a night where Lee County High School honored former players Eddie Dixon and Perry Shiver, the Trojans couldn’t keep the positive momentum going in an 8-5 nonregion loss to Veterans.

After falling behind early, Josh Hatcher’s double in the fourth inning tied the game at five. However, the Trojans never saw the lead.

The Trojans had eight hits in the game. Lawrence Bryant and Zach Parrish each collected two hits to lead the offense.

Veterans collected 12 hits.

Lee County will return to action on Friday with a doubleheader at Coffee.
