WARNER ROBINS — Lee County brought a high-flying offense that Houston County could not contain Friday night.

The Trojans defeated the Bears 34-0 at Freedom Field. The Trojans (7-0, 1-0 GHSA Region 1-6A) racked up 480 yards while limiting the Bears’ total offense to 163 yards. Lee County dominated the defensive line, which limited the chances of scoring for Houston County (2-5, 0-1).

Lee County quarterback Jase Orndorff had a career night, completing 19-of-25 pass attempts for 388 yards and three touchdown passes on the night. He did so throwing in front of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, who was in attendance Friday night because of the Wolverines’ bye week.

Orndorff’s top target, Ty Terrell, hauled in six passes for 136 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown early in the contest. Jermiah Engram had two catches for 87 yards, both going for touchdowns.

“I thought we did good, we fought hard the first half,” Houston County head coach Ryan Crawford said. “They came out the second half with a little more intensity than we did. We have an open week which is helpful, we can get some guys healthy. A lot of guys hurt (Friday) hoping to get them healthy and back. We have to win a couple games in the region to get in the playoffs and get ready for Coffee. A week off will be great for us.”
